Suction: 140 psig Discharge: 580 psig RLA: 8.7 A (FLA 10 A) No abnormal sound so we assume it's wired properly. Space temperature was really high, the condenser isn't properly ventilated and the thermostat cable isn't armored so lot of interference with the 25 V signal. It keeps cutting out. I know inverter compressors normally don't short cycle thanks to the throttling, but if you used one for a tankless water heater, it would cycle form 0 to 100 every time you turn on the hot water tap. It's obvious why this would be a problem if you have a crankshaft and no ability to start softly, but intuitively, a inverter scroll compressor shouldn't really care. Unit is about five years old and works fine. I know scroll compressors make this sound, but should this be a concern? I’ve got two identical four ton Lennox units (airease 4SCU16LE) side-by-side and one is quite a bit louder than the other. Hey guys , just wondering how often you come by this . 25 ton York unit , recent install with a seized compressor. I only say this because the identical unit is right beside it and it had its compressor running backwards . So now it’s looking like this one units compressor is pooched. Blows fuses once compressor contactor is engaged draws 88 amps . York says it’s very rare but can’t always take what they say for granted lol . Anyways what do you guys think ?
